Blending contemporary R&B, trap soul, dark R&B, and atmospheric late-night production, Still Up expands the emotionally restrained world Silk Riot has developed across releases including “CRASHOUT,” “Ten Toes Down,” and “Need That.”

The album moves through longing, physical desire, loyalty, frustration, emotional distance, complicated timing, and the quiet relief of gratitude. Rather than presenting each song as an isolated moment, Still Up unfolds across one continuous night.

Three interludes, “2:17 AM,” “4:06 AM,” and “6:21 AM,” mark the passage of time as the album shifts from pressure and temptation toward reflection, clarity, and sunrise.

The project opens with “Passenger Side,” a cinematic record built around memory, absence, and the feeling of driving with someone still occupying an empty seat. “CRASHOUT” brings the emotional pressure beneath Silk Riot’s calm exterior to the surface before the album moves deeper into attraction, restraint, and late-night intimacy through “Pretty Lil Shy Thing” and “Not That Deep.”

“Ten Toes Down” and “Need That” form the emotional center of the album. One is grounded in loyalty and steady commitment, while the other captures the pull of reconnection and physical closeness.

The project also includes two collaborations. Sareah joins Silk Riot on “Right Person, Wrong Time,” a duet about undeniable chemistry complicated by unstable timing. Reign Makasi appears on “Silent Loyalty,” an Afro-R&B collaboration examining what loyalty means when love changes, relationships end, and respect still remains.

“Bad Gyal Only” brings warmth and Caribbean-influenced romance into the album’s final stretch before “Bills Paid” closes the night with gratitude, independence, and the peace of recognizing how far the journey has come.

“I don’t write songs to tell people what to think. I write to create a space where they can think for themselves. Most of these stories begin after hours, when the world gets quiet enough to hear yourself honestly.”

Written and produced primarily by Silk Riot, Still Up reflects his approach to music as both an artist and storyteller. ZentheProducer provided beat production for “CRASHOUT” and “Not That Deep.” Collaborative writing and performance are featured on “Right Person, Wrong Time” with Sareah and “Silent Loyalty” with Reign Makasi.

The album continues Silk Riot’s larger creative philosophy: your values should make the decisions your emotions cannot. Across the project, emotional honesty exists beside composure. Desire does not erase accountability. Loyalty does not require possession. Confidence does not eliminate vulnerability.

As an artist and co-founder of After Hours Voices Entertainment, Silk Riot approaches every release as part of a connected world where music, visuals, character, and storytelling work together with intention.

Still Up arrives July 24, 2026.
