Full Biography

Silk Riot is a contemporary R&B artist whose music lives in the quiet hours, where emotions are processed instead of performed. Blending contemporary R&B, trap soul, and dark R&B, he transforms moments of love, frustration, gratitude, and self-control into cinematic records that invite listeners to slow down, reflect, and feel.

More than a stage name, Silk Riot is an artistic self-portrait. Created to separate private life from creative life, Silk Riot became a way to tell stories that could not always be spoken the way they were imagined. Writing came first. Long before music, notebooks were filled with stories, observations, and imagined worlds. Songwriting later became the natural extension of that habit.

Most of Silk Riot’s music is written after hours. During the day, life moves too fast. At night, expectations fall asleep. The silence creates space for honesty. Those late hours define everything about Silk Riot’s creative world, from the music itself to the visual language of low light, rich textures, quiet luxury, and thoughtful solitude.

His songs explore the emotional crossroads people face every day. Some moments tempt you to crash out. Others remind you to choose gratitude. Sometimes love takes the lead. Through it all, Silk Riot returns to one question: What do your values look like when your emotions are tested?

As a co-founder of After Hours Voices Entertainment, Silk Riot approaches music with the mindset of a builder as much as an artist. Every release contributes to a larger creative world where music, visuals, storytelling, and identity work together with intention. Rather than chasing trends, he is committed to building a catalog people recognize not only by its sound, but by its honesty.
